It is difficult enough to be in a position to require mediation, arbitration or legal counsel in general. Rarely does anyone want to go through the turmoil and emotional strain that usually comes along with that course of action.
Gary Farb knows this better than anyone. With 33 years experience, he is the visionary and architect behind two successful firms bearing his name and serves as the firms' general counsel and as a commercial litigator and a mediator, holding a Master of Laws.
Why Gary Farb?
Honing his experience and skills, including over 17 years in the art and science of communication, Gary has made it his mission to create a means of mediation that takes a more transformational approach to the process.
Perspective is the foundation of Gary's method and perspective is, and always has been, the key to understanding. Truly communicating with his clients, about how they act in the world and how the world acts on them, he motivates profound changes in choices and actions; opens up a broader strategic perspective, provides access points to more emotional openness, and teaches techniques to remain balanced during times of stress, and an ability to bring a sense of clarity to their goals.
No one goes through their life never needing help or counsel. There will always be times when a real professional can offer insight.
Gary Farb has built his career and reputation on offering insight that both challenges and motivates. His true gift is the ability to interpret and apply the same insights to achieve the optimal results for his clients.

"No one goes through their life never needing help or counsel."
Gary Farb mediation takes place at CFF Law (my law office). Our office is an attractive and comfortable facility with my office used as a breakout room for two party mediations. There is ample access to reasonable paid parking behind our building.
Complimentary meals and beverages will be provided during the mediation session (if requested). Our objective is to provide an ideal setting for a comfortable and pleasant mediation experience.
Mediation fees are charged in the amount of $450 per hour ($225 per hour, per side) for two party mediations for a minimum of three (3) hours or less of mediation time, to be paid equally by each party in advance of the day scheduled for the Mediation. If there are three or more negotiating parties, then the fee per party is reduced to $150 per hour. The minimum charge for reservation of an entire day of mediation is five hours. The mediation bill will consist of the mediator's preparation time plus the actual time expended during the mediation session.
An itemized bill will be delivered to each lawyer at the conclusion of the mediation session. If payment is not made before or at mediation, then each lawyer will be responsible for remitting payment within 15 days of the mediation conference. For that reason clients should be urged to bring a check to mediation so that the invoice may be paid at the conclusion of the session.
Your mediation session is important to me, and once a mediation is booked I decline other mediations for your date and time. The booking of date(s) for the mediation constitutes an agreement to pay the Mediator's normal fees, as above, for the day(s).
My adjournment and cancellation rules are as follows:
Where notice of cancellation is received in writing (email or fax) not later than five business days prior to the booked date and rebooked for a later date at the time of cancellation: No Charge.
If not rebooked at the time of cancellation, the fee payable is equal to the amount of any preparation time spent before receipt of the notice of cancellation which shall be presented in an itemized bill.
Where notice of cancellation is received in writing (email or fax) with less than 48 hours notice prior to the booked date and NOT rebooked for a later date at the time of cancellation: Full fee will be applied.
I travel throughout the GTA for mediations. No travel charges are assessed for full day mediations in the GTA. Outside of the GTA travels are to be determined by Gary Farb on a case basis.
